I know that even saying “Crash Diet” is like cursing nowadays, but bear with me. If you want to lose weight fast - and not just the “2 pounds per week” garbage the so-called gurus promote - then you’ve just struck gold. This is no ‘fad’ diet. Its smart, and based on science.

I know, I know. I’ve heard it all before too:

* “Crash diets are just plain stupid”

* “The weight loss is not permanent”

* “You’ll gain it all back and MORE”

* “You’ll ruin your metabolism”

* “Calories don’t matter”

* “You must lose weight SLOWLY.

Well, they’re right. But only because they’re too busy rehearsing their pseudo-scientific mumbo-jumbo that they haven’t even tried to think of ways to prevent those things from happening. The main reason that crash diets fail is because they naturally cause the metabolism to crash - EVENTUALLY.

Well, I have a way to prevent that. SEVERAL ways, actually. Think of it as crash dieting without the crash.

The main trick is to pause just BEFORE your metabolism crashes, then boost your metabolism, and then go back to your low calorie diet. Its a very good way to keep losing weight, while keeping your metabolism firing.

I can’t go into too much detail here, but I’ll give you the main points that you can use immediately while on your ‘crash diet’:

1. Eat enough protein on your low calorie days. Actually, get most of your calories from protein, and eat low carb on these days. You’ll protect your muscle tissue better that way. Muscle burns energy, and therefore fat, remember? And get a calorie counter to make sure that you ARE really eating low-calorie! However, 800 for women and 1000 for men is low enough. Any lower is just silly.

2. Never go low calorie for more than 3 days in a row before taking a day off. Sure, you can go very low calorie on your crash diet days to lose weight extremely fast, but you MUST have an off day to restore your metabolism (and sanity?). On those OFF days, eat a LOT of lean protein - 6 meals a day! A large serving of good carbs at breakfast e.g. oatmeal will also make your body (and mind) forget that you are on a ‘diet’. Don’t worry, you cannot gain fat in just one day if you eat clean enough. But DO eat enough on these off days!

3. Do some strength training. This will REALLY save your metabolism by protecting muscle while fat cells get battered! You only need 20-30 minutes 3 times a week. And it doesn’t have to be weight training - bodyweight exercises are fantastic.
